The menopause specialist service is a clinic that your GP can refer you to if you:
- have complex health problems and wish to consider HRT e.g heart disease, clotting disorder, history of a hormone dependent cancer such as breast cancer
- are having difficulty with side effects despite your GP trying some logical changes in preparation
- have poor symptom control despite changes of dose and or preparation
- have been diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Insufficiency and are under 40yrs
- have persistent low libido despite adequate HRT, after a full holistic assessment has ruled out other causes and you wish to consider Testosterone Replacement and the practice is not able to provide this.
