At home Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea testing

This is a routine postal testing service and there are additional tests for those at higher risk. If you are currently experiencing symptoms of an STI (anything different or unusual for you) – please contact your GP, or the Sexual Health department on 01294 323226 to book an appointment.

Testing needs to be done at least two weeks after the risk, to increase accuracy of results.

We recommend everyone has a HIV test once per year, if they have sex with someone new. Please contact your GP or the Sexual Health department to book an appointment for testing.

Please note this service is is FREE and only available to people living in Ayrshire & Arran.

Did you know, you can also access free STI testing kits to complete at home from your local pharmacy?

You will be asked for some basic information such as contact details and postcode to identify that you are eligible for this service. You will also be asked some questions about your body to ensure the right test/instructions are sent to you.

We will send you an email with a link to a form where you can confirm your contact details and address. Please remember to check your spam/junk folder and complete this as soon as possible as we’re unable to send out a testing kit if this hasn’t been completed. If you haven’t received an email, contact the Sexual Health department on 01294 323226.
